Statement on the death of Mr James Aryam, Executive Director, Windle International Uganda

It is with huge sadness that I must announce the death of Mr James Aryam, Executive Director of Windle International Uganda. Mr Aryam passed away in the early hours of Wednesday 16 June 2021 in Kampala, Uganda.  

On behalf of everyone across Windle International, we offer our deepest sympathy, prayers and condolences to James’ family, friends, and all who knew him at this extremely difficult time.  

James was a pillar of the organisation and his commitment to Windle’s mission, and tireless support of refugees and people affected by conflict, was an example to us all. He will be desperately missed as a colleague, a friend, and a mentor.
